As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had an innate sense of curiosity. Why do things happen the way they happen? I am continually intrigued by the intricate, dynamic nature of the human body.

As an undergraduate I chose to study molecular biology at both MIT and UC Santa Cruz. I had planned to become a research biologist, but fell in love with medicine. Based on my inherent respect for the scientific process and the innate wisdom of the human body, I pursued my doctorate in naturopathic medicine.

I’ve concluded that many modern diseases, such as cancer, infertility, autoimmunity, heart disease, neurological disorders and allergies have environmental causes.

Through my years of scientific research and clinical practice, I’ve concluded that many modern diseases, such as cancer, infertility, autoimmunity, heart disease, neurological disorders and allergies have environmental causes. Removing these harmful substances from the body can pave the way to recovery. My training in environmental medicine helps me educate my patients on how to avoid environmental toxins and allows me to use various protocols to eliminate harmful chemicals and heavy metals from the body.

As an ND, I treat each patient as a unique individual, emphasizing prevention as well as the root causes of illness. I use western medicine diagnostic methods in combination with a holistic and functional medicine approach. In other words, I combine the newest evidence-based medicine with time-tested natural remedies in an integrated approach to help you recover from illness, prevent disease, build stamina and focus. These naturopathic treatments include diet and nutrition, herbal extracts, cleansing/detox programs, bio-identical hormones, and IV therapy.
